December 21 2020: Important information - Covid restrictions

Agility and its suppliers are working hard to alleviate the issues created by the new strand of Coronavirus and the ensuing closures of borders and travel destinations across Europe and the world.

Those with immediate issues having been packed and loaded in the UK or Europe but not having been delivered, are being contacted as a priority. We believe that the borders will reopen to cargo movements from Wednesday the 23rd however, the fact that you as AU’s/SP may not be able to fly or drive to your European destinations or to the UK from EU destinations to receive deliveries will also have issues, we will contact you today or tomorrow 22nd December.

Our hands are tied only by third party actions. Agility and its suppliers are fully staffed and fully open over the holidays and will endeavour to work with each and every one of you to clear any issues as quickly possible.

Again, this situation has been discovered today due to foreign borders being closed from 21/12/20 am causing issues to trucks planning to leave and being left stuck in Europe as well as blocks on tourism flights and trains meaning SP cannot be present for packs and deliveries even if we could move through borders.

For Tier 4 and new strand queries, these have not slowed the work Agility is doing (outside of the third party border closures).

For ALL enquiries, please contact your coordinator at your removal supplier company directly in order to get the most up to date information. Agility is liaising with all suppliers on an hourly basis.

Very best wishes to all of you form the Agility team for the best holiday season possible despite everything going on.

Brexit: Important

From the 1st of January 2021, customs regulations for moving household goods to and from Europe will change. This will almost definitely include customs procedures in individual European countries as well as returning to the UK. These bring European moving regulations in line with the rest of the world and will no doubt include the TOR process (Transfer of Residence) for goods entering the United Kingdom. Please see below request instructions for TOR completion from your removals supplier although these will be automatically sent to you by the supplier early in the process.

In order for your effects to be customs cleared into the UK, you will need to apply for a Transfer of Residency with HMRC. Details on how to do this are attached. We strongly advise getting this done quickly as any delay in obtaining the TOR reference number will hold up the forwarding of your consignment. Once HMRC have emailed you your Unique Ref number (URN) , please send your supplier (the moving company) a copy of the email containing the (URN) number. This is obligatory and is the law if you want to bring goods back into the UK without paying tax on them. Note all goods must be bought and used at least 6 (six) months prior to your departure, otherwise customs will charge you taxes as outlined below.

If you are moving to Europe, we will need paperwork from you before your departure from the UK in order to PHYSICALLY (truck and staff at customs house) clear customs in your destination country. We will require hard copies of your passport, a valued inventory, your reason for moving to Europe (supplied by employer) et al. There may be other items but at this point we are surmising. This will cause delays and difficulties in tying down exact times for deliveries in Europe.

Note: All items household or other (of any kind) purchased within 6 months of departure from Europe are subject to Taxes and Duty. There are also fines for not declaring new goods which can be physically inspected at any time by customs staff at the port. Personal allowance of tobacco or alcohol must be with you personally and not within the shipment. All such products are banned and prohibited by law, customs, the MoD and Agility.

To obtain the instructions or for any other enquiries or guidance, please contact your coordinator within the removal company carrying out your move. Otherwise please email your Agility coordinator who can put you in touch with the correct person at the supplier concerned.

Covid-19: Important

Please do not call Agility but use the email addresses below instead.

Whilst we continue to operate as normal with all staff working from home, there are some changes to our contact details below. We are not able to accept bookings via fax at this time. With this in mind, all booking forms and tasks should be sent electronically via email to Grmsapps@agility.com – please note that in addition to scanned documents, we are also able to accept clear and legible screenshots and photographs taken via smartphone.

If you have already booked on the Agility system, your move is now in the THAW stage. This means we are contacting you in date order to rebook. Moves have been categorised by FLC's into 'phases' (phase 0, 1, 2 and 3). All these moves are still booked on the Agility system (removals, not housing) and we have your details.

Your Chain of Command will be able to assist should your allocated phase not suit your requirements, Agility cannot change this.

If you have not yet booked on the Agility system and require a move, please do so ASAP outside of this process. The 'phased' process will not apply to you if you do not already have an Agility reference number and have not already applied for removals on this website.

You MUST also remember to complete and obtain the E1132 application for housing, in order to have a confirmed residence to move into. Please do this immediately even if you had previously booked through ModNet.
